Heathcomm Simulator

The main objective is to develop and assess a virtual simulation tool aimed at enhancing communication in healthcare settings in order to improve the quality of care, user satisfaction with the care received and specific training and continuing education of trainee and practising healthcare professionals.

The specific objectives are as follows:

SO1– To develop a digital tool for undergraduate and postgraduate education aimed at instilling, improving and honing communication skills with users.

SO2– To create a standardised pool of valid and reliable items to assess clinical healthcare communication skills.

SO3– To analyse the operation of the virtual healthcare simulation environment.

SO4– To identify good practices in user communication training.
