Healthcomm Simulator

The team of the present project shares a high:

• Degree of experience and knowledge in the development and management of innovation projects.
• Specific and innovative profile for the project, with experience in information and communication technologies.
• Access to international networks to facilitate the reproduction of results.
• Ability to contribute to the project objectives by generating innovative learning content in communication skills training for healthcare professionals.
• Wide access to university students with a range of professional profiles in the field of healthcare.

Four organisations will be included that will complement each other in the project aimed at improving communication skills training for healthcare professionals.

The Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Alicante is an Institution of Higher Education that offers several programs of undergraduate studies, Nursing and Human Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as postgraduate and doctoral programs.

The researchers involved in this project are active members of two research groups in the University of Alicante Faculty of Health Sciences: the Person-Centred Care and Innovation in Health Outcomes group and the Psychology applied to Human Health and Behaviour group.

They have extensive research experience in developing and validating assessment tools and in addressing non-technical skills and the therapeutic relationship in complex clinical contexts such as end-of-life care, chronicity and mental health.

InGenio Labs is a nationwide non-profit association dedicated to promoting educational and cultural innovation in all social and collective areas. It is particularly noteworthy for its interdisciplinary approach, combining education experts and media and ICT professionals with over twenty years of experience in national and international innovation projects.

InGenio Labs promotes transmedia actions with an educational or cultural benefit, adjusted to the evolutionary profile, individual characteristics and personal development of the groups to which they are addressed.

Its main activities can be divided into four main areas: research, development of multiplatform technology, training and dissemination.

ISOB (Institute for Socio-Scientific Consultancy) is a private research and development institute, working in several research áreas, as evaluation and quality assurance of projects, third sector (non-profit organisations) or digitalisation and Vocational Training.

The ISOB has extensive experience in quality control of European Erasmus+ projects and is currently participating in several Strategic Partnership projects, including Digital Script: Digital Story Telling for Adult Learning in the Digital Age; Digital Media for VET in SMEs: Online learning of digital media competencies for SMEs to empower workplace learning (e.g. Project DigiVET); and Women Entrepreneurship. Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care (ABFHC) is an independent higher education institution established by the Municipality of Jesenice. It offers undergraduate study program Nursing and Physiotheraphy, postgraduate master programs Nursing and Health promotion and postgraduate PhD program Health care sciences. ABFHC has experiences with leading individual WPs in the international projects and as a leader of the international and national projects.

They are currently strategic partners in the Erasmus+ EBP e-Toolkit project, which focuses on education for future healthcare professionals at European level with the aim of training more competent professionals in order to improve clinical decision-making through learning methodologies based on digital media.
